Pressured Into Drugs? 04/23/12

Don’t worry YOU are NOT ALONE!

You maybe a respectful person, have a good job, have a family, have money and content with the life you lead. But you have never experienced drug or experimented with a drug. The reality is, it takes one person to introduce a drug into a friendship circle, you’re the only one left who has not tried this drug? What do you do? Stick to your guns and say NO. Most people do not take drugs you’re in the majority.

If you are in this position, talk to someone, a parent or family member and a close friend who has never offered you drugs. If you understand the reasons why your friends are offering you drugs, this should benefit you to tell those people who you do not want to do drugs. If they are your friends they should understand the decision and respect that but in some cases it will be best to stay away from that peer group.

Drugs can effect your physical health, mental health and all aspects of your life for example; education, job, finance and family life. Think carefully about your own reasons why you do not want to do drugs. If it helps write down the pros and cons of drugs, I can guarantee there is more bad than good will appear on that list. Find an explanation that your happy with and share it with the others. Always remember to say NO – people will stop asking over time and try to avoid people and places where you are likely to be offered drugs.
